to one-eighth-inch (but always double check) so just bring the fence to the edge of the wood, tighten down and rip the strip. Move the fence over and you have another 1/8" strip. The wood rides on the bearings. These strips need to be extra-long to allow for the kerf (thickness of the blade) in the next step.
