"I've loved doll's houses since my childhood. My grandmother had a dollhouse, but nobody could play with it. Knowing this, my mother collected a lot of inexpensive Chinese furniture for me and in 2000 I started and finished my first doll's house kit to show off my furniture. Afterwards I built a doll house for my daughter, another for her best friend and some house kits for a shop."
It wasn't long before her passion was in full swing and Cristina hasn't looked back since.
Having no formal training, Cristina started as most artisans do, learning through trial, error and patience.
"I have taught myself by reading books and looking at different master's works, trying to do their work myself and at last making my own creations. I would like to participate in live workshops, but it's difficult in my country, so I'm always looking for new techniques or materials on the Internet.
