Another favorite is the leather hatbox measuring only 5-centimeters (3/16") in diameter and 3-centimeters (just over 3/32") high that contains three 1½ inch dolls including a ballerina, an antique type doll and a Victorian dressed doll.
Diane began making her 1/12 scale dolls and then found even smaller doll molds that just begged to be dressed up. After "playing" with a few for a show she did, they were so well received that she has been doing them ever since.
Diane is always coming up with different ideas and I just can't wait to see what beautiful people she creates next. Hopefully the crisper fall air is bringing quite a relief from heat and humidity on the East Coast of South Africa for her so she can now have more time to spend on working on her dolls without the guilt of having to do all of the garden chores that come with the summertime!
