Are you getting hungry yet? The 1/48 scale turkey I made is out of the oven and now it's time for the best part: Dessert! Nathalie Gireaud of Provence Miniatures has created these oh-so-delectable looking pumpkin logs from polymer clay in 1/12, 1/24 and 1/48 scale. Nathalie also loves the challenge of creating in smaller scales and upon popular demand from her customers began making smaller scale food in 1/24 and 1/48th scale. Completing the fall harvest is the tiniest of realistic looking vegetables in a wooden crate.
So, we have seen some houses and some foods that can go inside them, what about the people to enjoy it all?
For IGMA Artisan Diane Yunnie, all miniatures have always held an attraction for her and it was a natural progression from making big porcelain dolls to the miniature version. A shining example of one of her small scale dolls is this 1/24th scale lady dressed in batiste with a lace overlay and a matching fabric hat topped with feathers. The lady's tiny parasol completes her dress.
