"I'm a cancer survivor going on five years. It was a rough two years with treatments and I appreciate every day now that I have my health back. I want to share all life's experiences with my husband, family and friends. When I don't work, I like spending quality time with them working in my garden, riding my bike, taking long walks in the woods and enjoying nature. My last but not least support is my two cats, peaceful and friendly. They are a great comfort to have around."
Karin looks forward to each day with great passion and has equally passionate dreams of her future as an artist.
"I think I would like to make more doll couples, husbands and wives, moms and children, brothers and sisters. It's nice to keep the doll medium the same when you display them.
"I want to do the very best I can to make the next doll I make better than the last one I made. I'm always studying the human form and striving to create miniature dolls that look as real as possible."
To that extent Karin watches a lot of movies and television shows and is an avid reader, searching for faces to inspire her next sculpt.
"The fashion world is very inspirational to me as I sculpt contemporary dolls. But books, movies, actresses... Just to name a few, the Twilight series and movies are very inspiring. 'The Bishop's Wife,' 'Sabrina,' 'Meet Me In St. Louis,' 'What A Way To Go,' 'Somewhere In Time,'
