Dolls' House Bathrooms

Book review of Dolls' House Bathrooms, Lots of Little Loos By Patricia King It is followed by eight more High Flush Loos including The Goliath, The Fruit Juice Opener Loo, The Old Bill or The Royale (a throne fit for a king).

The Low Suite Loos follow, with titles including The Sylvan Glade, Thoroughly Modern Mini, British Ray Thunderbox or Sitting Pretty Comfy Commode! All with the same basic format of color picture with materials list, schematic and instructions.

Chapter Four, Outdoor and Public Loos kicks off with the charming Victorian-era The Willoughby Long High Street Urinal based on wrought iron fixtures formerly seen all along High Street, England.

Book review of Dolls' House Bathrooms, Lots of Little Loos By Patricia King King's creations 'Ladies' Municipal Toilet' and 'Gentlemen's Municipal Toilet' are charmingly reminiscent of a Bliss house and done in the same format as the others. There is even a Tinklebell's Authentic Fairy's Toilet constructed inside a dried gourd.

Chapter Five covers Fixtures and Fittings, demonstrating the ease with which a toilet paper roll can be constructed from such things as straws, bracelet links, trouser fly bars or watch strap bars.

Or how about a mascara wand and a used bullet cartridge for a toilet bowl cleaner?

There are even six different washbasin examples done in the same format as the toilets with color picture, material list and schematic to help the crafter complete a perfect bathroom.

Whether searching for the perfect loo or just ideas on using found objects, this book is a great addition to any miniaturist's library.
