Step 15
Repeat the last step with the rest of the lines that comes up from the back of the orange.

TIP: If the clay is to soft and it is hard to maintain the lines and form on the orange, you can put the clay in the freezer for a minute and the clay will get much more firm.

BAKING
Bake your orange section in the manufacturers recommended setting, I use Fimo soft which should be baked in 110´C for 15 minuets.

When you have done this and your orange have cooled down, proceed to Step 17.

Step 17
Now you are going to need white color to paint the orange sections surface. I use White pastel chalk to do this, I think It gives the right texture and translucency. But you can also use any other white paint, the important thing is that it is not to opaque. Scrape of some white color with your razor blade on a paper and add a little water to it.

Use a fine artist brush and paint a line of white on each orange section, like in the picture. These lines can be uneven and you can also paint small veins from them if you like.

NOTE: I often buy a reference orange to look at while making the miniature version. This helps a lot if you want to make the miniature as realistic as possible.

Step 21
Now we will make orange peels to display with your peeled orange!

My shade of orange is much to sharp in its color to look realistic so I will mix in yellow and caramel brown. If you have the shade called Mandarine as me, use my mix to tone it down. I find most of the orange shades is to sharply orange, while oranges often have a more warm tone.

The proportions in my mix is equally large parts of yellow and orange and then a tiny piece of caramel brown. You don't need much clay, my orange at the picture is 1cm (1/32") on each side and 0,5cm width (3/16" or just under ¼").

Step 22
Now we are ready to make the orange peel. Put aside a bit more than a pea sized piece of this orange clay, to make one or more whole oranges later.

Then to get the color of the inside of the orange peel, mix one part of white and a tiny piece of yellow as shown in the picture below.
