"I love 17th Century French and Middle Eastern designs as well as the Art Deco and Art Nouveau.
"For now, though, I only dress the beds. For some reason I am drawn to the fabrics that are the hardest to work with: brocades, silks, velvets. I also love vintage beadwork and needlework. Maybe one of these days I'll have the nerve and patience to work with wood," she said.
For now the fabric choices give her as much challenge as she wants to handle.
She stumbled upon the miniature world - and its inherent challenges - by chance.
"I never, ever intended to dress and design furniture, but soon it became quite obvious to me that I was never going to find pieces that suited my tastes. I'm not really very good at visualizing an outcome, I just kind of plan as I go. Which can be quite a hindrance when doing a custom piece."
She hasn't always been a miniaturist.
