bicycle's. Doll's were not on my agenda at all. My brother finds it really hysterical that his little sister now has a passion for, as he says, "playing with impossibly small dolls."
Every morning, when she wakes up, Vynette's first thought is to be grateful for the blessing of good health, her husband and mother. Then she turns on her computer to see the news in the miniature world.
In the beautiful spring of South Africa, Vynette gets inspiration from buds and flowers, and birdlife while she walks with her two dogs: Taffy, a Cocker Spaniel and Breeze, a Border Collie.
In her studio, her favourite jeweller's lamp and her irreplaceable Tacky Glue are the most indispensible parts of her work table. With a stunning view of the Indian Ocean, Vynette works while her five cats try to 'help', especially Pippa, her oldest kitty who is in charge of rearranging her worktable.
Meanwhile Vynette is thinking about the books she reads - she has a preference for Phillipa Gregory's works - the Edwardian Period, movies and music to inspire her work.
When she doesn't work on her dolls, Vynette loves to paint on glass or fabric, not surprising, because as she says, "I have always been an artisan."
No matter what her brother says.
Check out Vynette's work in her CDHM Gallery.
