The White
White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, and purity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.
White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. White can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity. We use white in figures of speech like "pure as the driven snow" or "a white lie." We also associate white with the good guy in old western movies.
In the shadows of the spooky house, leering skulls, glowing dripping candles, talismans made of bone, and well-worn parchment spell pages bring a hint of light to a dark world.
White talon talisman and spell pages by Ericka Vanhorn of EV Miniatures are needed in every witch’s or wizard’s spell room.
And what is a potion room without a mortar and pestle to grind up ingredients? The tiny white mortar and pestle by John Meikle of Meikle Miniatures would be a perfect addition.
And everyone knows that all haunted castles and houses must have a gargoyle watching from the rooftop to scare off evil spirits! This hand-carved stone gargoyle is by Linda Master of Miracle Chicken Dollhouse Miniatures.
The Blue
Blue is the tranquil color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, peace, harmony, truth, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and faith. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity.
There are variants in specific colors also. For instance, light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding and softness while dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity and seriousness.
Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect.
To bring a touch of blue into the haunted house, how about a mossy crate full of turquoise dragon eggs, blue potion bottles, a fairy with blue wings or a shocking blue magical familiar?
