Today I'm going to be making a 1:12 scale walnut/maple chess board, perfect for Father's Day in the world of miniatures!
I've selected maple and a beautiful piece of walnut. They have already been planed to three-quarter-inch thick.
The first step is to joint the edge of both pieces.
I am going to be making this entire piece on my little four-inch Dremel© table saw and need to rip the jointed edges from the walnut and maple stock. I want these pieces to be one-eighth-inch thick.
