The second turner is another CDHM Artisan Chuck Lubin. I was especially enamored with his cocobolo and ebony urn. The richness of the finely finished wood combined with the shape of the urn itself makes this piece really special, not to mention the ornate handled lid. 1:12 Urn turned from cocobolo and ebony by CDHM Artisan Chuck Lubin
Every dad has to be strong when he needs to be, but to possess a flair for the whimsical and lovable is truly unique. Take, for example, this little guy. He's a Trollie troll from CDHM Forum member Aaron Matthies. How can you resist those eyes, that smile, and the two posed paws on this sculpture? Trollie troll from Aaron Matthies
There's always an easy way to do something. A shortcut here, a shortcut there, but it takes a certain kind of integrity to not only do things right but do them in an unexpected way. This brings me to CDHM Artisan Don Lorenzen and the beautiful spiral staircases he designs and builds. Their structure is sleek and elegant, almost like looking at finely spun glass.
