My dad could fix anything.
It didn't matter if it was made of plastic, metal, or wood. After he repaired it, it was just as good as the original if not better. He also fiddled around with car repairs and CDHM Forum Members Dave Krakow and Anders Malmberg of Sweden partnered to finish a 1/87 scale Depression Era car auto garage. While Dave created many of the tiny items like the tools, radiators and cabinets, Anders then painted and weathered. sharpened his own mower blades to keep the lawn in tip-top shape.
Until he built a pole barn in the early 1980s, he tucked all his tools and machines in a two-car garage. He tucked so many tools and machines in there that my parents parked their vehicles outside in the elements because the garage was always full to the max.
