Although there is always room for the occasional Barbie-sized creation, Michelle's work is primarily in 1:12 scale.

"I started out making traditional granny square afghans, but I branched out to different squares. I have done a fair number of squares that have a 3-D component to them, like butterflies that pop out or flowers. I like to do a variety of different afghans; it keeps me from getting bored. I used to make miniature crocheted Care Bears©, but I haven't done that in about five years."

When asked if there was a particular period her work falls into Michelle says that most of her work could be considered modern, although this depends on the stitch and colors that she uses, but a more fitting description for here work might be "timeless." She is able to capture so much detail in her work, and
