She wondered just what she might be able to create that would incorporate all those elements. Then it hit her. Masks seemed like the perfect opportunity for her to use her collection of supplies. The resulting combination of variety of colors and combinations of beads and other found objects she incorporates into her masks are endless.
I asked her what made her begin working in smaller scales. She said that after seeing the work of some of her friends who had been working smaller, she became drawn to it herself. Always up for a challenge, curiosity drove her to see if she could make her masks even smaller. She continues growing as an artist when creating her masks and is always surprising herself with the results. She gets inspired when creating them and it certainly it shows in the end!
