"The easiest part is when I sit in front of my table without having any formal plan of what to make. I do prefer creating rather than making repeat items."
To do all this creating she has her very own special attic workshop, crowded on three walls with shelves filled to sagging with miniature supplies, books and magazines.
"It's a little room under the roof, difficult to stand in except just in the middle, but I am mainly sitting of course. There is a window in the roof, so I have lots of light on my working table," she said.
Since she works mostly with Fimo©, there is always a toothpick to be found on her worktable, as well as rubber shapers, pins, dental tools, a paste machine and ultra thin tweezers to pick up tiny items.
"And Allene© glue too, I use litres of it!" she added.
As a mother of three and a teacher to five-year-olds she cherishes her quiet miniature crafting moments. Not to say there aren't moments of excitement when one of her two cats decides they want one - or more - of her creations.
