As a child I visited the Bethnal Green Dolls Museum, in London, which had a display of Victorian dolls houses and I remember looking at them an thinking one day I will have one of those. I finally acquired my first dolls house in October 2005. I only started sculpting 1/12 scale food about 18 months ago as a hobby, having seen some for sale and thinking I can do better than that, while out scouting for bits for my dolls house. Arming myself with copies of Food Displays by Sue Heaser and Making Miniature Food by Angie Scarr I embarked on a journey of discovery. Once I mastered the basic skills, I became more adventurous, producing far too much for my humble dolls house to accommodate. But I could not stop I was addicted to the frill of producing miniature masterpieces. A family member suggested they purchase some of my foods which lead to friends and colleagues making purchases. Where do you find inspiration? For the food from cook books, magazines and what I would personally like in my dolls house. For the other miniatures, nature. Where do you sell your products?
