She has been published in doll magazines worldwide since her beginnings as an artist and has even appeared on TV in Germany and England.
Her pieces are available worldwide through various retailers and from the artist starting at US$65.00.
"I love creating, but the paperwork associated with running a business is the hardest thing I have to do!"
The easiest thing is finding a dropped tool.
"I use a very long needle from Teddy bear making, it is very comfortable in my hand and quickly found when dropped," she said.
Two years ago Silke was lucky enough to get a new studio with three whole rooms devoted to crafting.
