Now that the Art Deco house is completed, a new project beckons.

"My husband bought me a large Georgian house (16 rooms) for my wedding anniversary last October. I sat in front of it for three days, completely stunned by it. So many ideas were running through my head! I now have a piece of paper in each room so that I can write things down as they come to me.

"I like Regency/Georgian decor. The furniture is a bit stately and stiff though, very formal. This will be a completely different project inasmuch as I am having to start from scratch! It came built and has a basic lighting system. But the real challenge is doing things I have never done before!

"I am going to give it a Georgian background with highly decorative cornices, paneling, etc. But it will have modern furniture, with a few 'antiques'. I want it to be really luxurious. I have made a small chair for my study. And hope to make more pieces as I go. The kitchen and bathrooms - yes I am going to have two - will be as luxurious and fantastic as I can make them!

"I am tiling the roof at the moment. I have painted the exterior and started working on the interior over the Christmas holiday. I visited stands at Kensington that I have never visited before! Buying wood for chimney breasts and decorative plaster fireplaces and discussing what sort of marble to use for the double height hallway with a very grand staircase!

"I am having wallpaper made for the main bedroom and will print the same pattern onto silk for the bed coverings etc. I can finally 'let myself go' with decor and furnishings!!!

After the strict discipline of the Art Deco house it will be wonderful," she said.
