Polymer clay sculptor Debi Hayes has been collecting and painting miniatures for 40 years.
"My father built a dollhouse for me out of scrap wood and he used Christmas lights throughout to light it up. When I grew up I visited the local miniature shop and did a remodel. It just started to build into a hobby and pretty soon I had built my, 'Diamond Deb's Saloon', an old west saloon set in Virginia City Nevada."
I like to combine my painting and my love of history and all things vintage when I create something. It is just really fun to create cute stuff!
Dollmaker and paperclay artisan Nefer Kane has a full schedule every day. From her home in the South of France she raises and home schools her two young sons and sculpts her art dolls.
Her work is strongly influenced by the Steampunk concept.
"I think that Steampunk is a very good way to explain the human mechanics: feelings, emotions and paradoxes. I also love to sculpt Faeries as they have always been a passion of mine."
