I had the pleasure of attending the Philadelphia Miniaturia show again this year, and as in previous years, I had a blast!!!! This year's show was especially nice for me because I was there on assignment for CDHM as well as a miniature enthusiast. Some of the most talented miniature artisans from around the world were there and I was absolutely speechless at such phenomenal work from such a gifted group of people!!
The show was held November 6-7, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This year's theme was, "You Oughta Be in Pictures."
When I arrived at the hotel I was a bit surprised not to find one single parking space to be had. In past years I was always able to find a place with no problem. But I was determined to drive around for hours if I had to, just to find that one space! Luckily, some of the hotel staff were on-hand to direct guests to the overflow parking lot. I found out later that there was another event going on at the hotel but it was nice to think that the majority of the guests were there for "Miniaturia," if only it was while I was hunting for that elusive parking space.
