Diana Ibanez Martin
made pumpkin magic
Halloween contest winner Diana Ibanez Martin had just a slight edge in last month's CDHM Halloween Contest - she has magic hands! Just ask her friends.
"All my friends and family think I have magic hands to be able to create things so small," said Diana, who sells miniatures and more as Diana's Creative Jewelry and Handbags from her home town of Hampton, Virginia, USA.
Even for magic hands, the winning contest entry, a quarter (1:48) scale Tudor Pumpkin House, took three weeks to create. No wand-waving was involved, just hours of hard work.
"This project took me three weeks to finish. Overall it was a hard project to build because of the amount of details, craftsmanship and scale of the house." She started with a Funkin plastic pumpkin and added sculpted architectural details to make it a house. The witch inside calls it home.
