Fall burning is creative
fun for all with WB pens

Ahhhh the smell of burning wood! It conjures up images of burning leaves, fireplaces with roaring fires, the coming of the winter months and the ensuing CDHM The Miniature Way iMag Tools Review holidays. Wood smoke is one of my personal favorite smells so naturally I love working with my wood burning pen.

A lot of people I am sure have heard of, or seen, or used, some form of the wood burning devices out there. Most are familiar with the craft version used in kits such as the Boy Scout projects. These look like a soldering iron and don't work much better. They are usually one temperature, plug-in types that are designed for burning a hard wood and not very good for detail or soft woods like balsa and the like.

Alternatively, a wood burning pen is versatile, very easy to use and significantly more advanced. My personal favorite and the favorite of many pro wood carvers is the Colwood brand of wood burning pens and modules. With Colwood's entry level "Cub" you can own one of these beauties for about $70USD.
