The dog days of summer are fading but it's still pretty hot outside! School is back in session in the USA and the living is easier for parents everywhere but for many of us, it's still just plain hot outside.
Believe it or not, there is something even hotter than the blazing sun that is beating down on most of us around the world. What could that possibly be, you ask?
Miniatures in smaller scales!
Almost anything you can think of can now be found in 1/24, 1/48 or even 1/144 scales. Finely crafted micro miniatures are heating up the mini world as more artisans dare to blaze the trail along the miniature landscape.
One such trailblazer is Lauretta Carroll of Midnight Magic Miniatures. Lauretta has created this wonderful lighthouse in 1/144th scale. It is inspired by Montauk Lighthouse on Long Island, New York, USA which is the oldest lighthouse in New York State.
