"I love collecting teddy bears and larger china dolls but space is at a premium here so I am hoping for a lottery win - bigger house to fill with all kinds of collections!" she said, adding that having more time for her hobbies would also be high on her wish list.
"I love to make quilts, I love to paint, preferably in watercolors or acrylics, I also love to play quite a few instruments and I am an avid walker - although you wouldn't think so to look at my waistline!"
For Nicky, all of the dolls in all of the museums will never affect her as much as one special order sculpture created for a woman, one she will never do again.
"I think the hardest and maybe one of my worst experiences was being asked to sculpt a baby for a lady. The baby had been still born. I cried every time I looked at the photos for weeks. It is not something I will ever do again, though the lady was so grateful it was just too upsetting."
Nicky's love for her craft and her artistry has enabled her to turn a love of what she does into a full time career.
"I am just so thankful when anyone parts with their hard-earned pennies to buy one of my creations as it gives me a reason to keep making more."
She has an online shop and she occasionally will sell on E-bay. Most of her sales are through her CDHM Gallery.
"The Gallery has been a godsend to being able to advertise my latest works! It is wonderful having an area to chat with like-minded people, bounce off ideas, and share resources. I love seeing what everyone else has been busy doing."
