The miniature books are the most difficult. Setting the text and images requires a lot of mental coordination. The actual assembly of the books isn't so difficult, but it is time consuming," she added.

Which led to one of her most important self-discoveries: Never craft when sleepy.

"A funny experience - not so funny at the time - was when I had a rush order for some miniature books. I was up late trying to get them all done and I guess I was pretty tired. I went to bed thinking 'Ah... That's done!' When I proofed the books the next morning I had bound them all on the wrong side!"

Her worktable is covered in enough tools, gadgets, paints, glitters and jewellery findings to resemble a sale table at the local craft store but her favorite craft material is unique or handmade papers.

"And my most outlandish tool has to be a cuticle "pusher" tool from an old manicure set. I use it for everything," she said.
