Like many miniature artists, the all-things-tiny mantra has been with Barmore "all her life," but the creative scale miniature bug didn't bite until she discovered CDHM.
"I didn't get into the precise area of 1:12 scale until I discovered CDHM five or six years ago. I have collected many different things at different times of my life, but those collections are being weeded out as I get more and more into the miniature lifestyle."
As an artist she has explored many different kinds of works, too, before settling on the miniature art pottery that has become her trademark and earned her a great following in the miniature world. Miniature pottery in earthenware and porcelain clays is her current favorite medium, but miniature floral art, polymer art dolls and fairies, beadwork, ornaments, doll clothes and treasure/memory boxes also spring from her living room work bench.
Although she doesn't have a workroom she prefers the comfort of the living room where the television can provide background noise.
