Can you guess what my topic for this month will be? That's right, it's not Dad. We'll save him for next month. For this issue it's all about mothers. It's amazing, really, when you think about motherhood and all the responsibilities attached to it. You have to be able to hold a child, as tight and as lovingly as you can, then have the wisdom and strength to let them go when the time is right. Not an easy task. Along the way you have very little time to make sure that they are fully prepared to begin a life on their own.
Once your child (or children) is out on his or her own, mothers still are the ones who get called 1:12 Filled egg with gold accents and hidden jewelry by CDHM and IGMA Artisan María Lourdes Areal Cruces in the middle of the night about a high fever, consulted about affairs of the heart and must be ready at a moment's notice to be a fill-in baby sitter. Whew! All that work and they only have one day that they are recognized for their efforts! It doesn't seem at all adequate.
