"When I'm just playing around I might have the television on, but when I'm working on a doll that will become a fairy I like Celtic music. I just finished a doll maker doll and I listened to bluegrass. I like listening to music that seems to be appropriate."
Getting carried away to another place and time seems like a most enjoyable way to create, and therefore the most satisfying part of her work, but Alicia the most satisfying part of her creative process isn't the design phase, but rather a little on down the road.
"The end, where everything has come together, is the most satisfying part. The designing, the making, then you put it together and you see there is something wonderful sitting before you."
