How about inviting friends over to chat for an afternoon? Your garden would be a perfect spot to serve tea and some tasty treats. I found the perfect object this month to start your own tea set!
You have probably noticed that I have been finding many objects at the bait and tackle shop lately. There are troves of treasures hidden in the aisles of this sportsman's craft store. April is also a great time to grab your fishing poles and head for the lake.
It's also the best time for me to come up with mini ideas when I am waiting for the fish to bite.
When I saw these "cone heads" in the fly making section, I knew they were destined to be tea cups. They come in four sizes: extra small, small, medium and large. (All my examples are made from large.) They also come in copper, black, and gold. Prime, add little handles, paint and fill with a beverage for instant tea cups.
Pair with a sequin and give it the same prime and paint treatment for a matching saucer. Just be sure to use plain silver sequins for this project as other colors will bleed through the primer and paint.
