"Each print is examined under a magnifier to ensure that the quality is the best that it possibly can be. There is no mass production involved, each print is lovingly monitored and examined. I found a challenge in developing a design process that preserves detail regardless of tiny scale. Many of my customers have told me over the years that my miniatures look even better in real life."
Ann recently took on the immense task of moving her home and her business to the shore of the Shenandoah River in the historic city of Front Royal, Virginia, USA. The move included her daughter Cristen, a tuxedo cat named Sweet Pea, and a slider turtle named Little Foot. It is here that Ann now creates her minis.
"I have a studio with a view of the Shenandoah River. It's not a large space, but I make the most of it by using economical plastic drawer units and closet doors. I use the drawer units to hold my door tabletops - double high for the worktable and single-high for the computer and printer tables. I'll bet there are a hundred drawers, and because each is clear plastic I can easily target what is inside! The studio is nothing fancy, but very utilitarian."
