called Nyack, NY, on the Hudson river where artist and antique dealers converted Victorian houses into studios and stores. I utilized that idea when I created my real 1/12 scale miniature store. I love the Victorian period, and also working in a primitive style. I also enjoy fantasy, because you are only limited by your imagination."
Bringing the full size, real or imagined, down to scale is a delight for her as well as a passion. Her favorite full-scale craft materials to work with are herbs and crystals, which aren't as hard to miniaturize as one might expect.
"I just love handling them. I have stuffed probably over a thousand little herb bottles!
"I seem to be inspired by life. If I see something in real life that interests me I will make it. I also love the challenge when people ask me if I can make them a real-life item in miniature. A funny experience for me was when I had sold several things to a customer I did not personally know. A year later, this same customer heard me talking in a grocery store about my miniatures and came over. It was neat for both of us meet."
