Life in Leslie's household can be "quite interesting" in general. When she isn't crafting miniatures she is a martial artist trained in a number of weapons with a specialty in sword work. Working out with her husband and son is one of the greatest pleasures in her day.

While he will join her for a work out, her husband does not share her artistic passion. He does, however, encourage her and recently gave her a scroll saw she is eager to try out.

"I am excited to see what new miniatures I can create with this. Because I make so many diverse items my work table varies with everything from clay tools to pliers, a mortar and pestle to grind herbs, to a scanner and computer. I think my oddest tool is an unbent paper clip. You would be amazed how versatile a tool that is.
