Pattern
Print out the patterns of the butterfly you will need for this tutorial. You will need two copies of the butterfly.
You have to print it on paper, setting your color printing options to the highest quality. The size must be 10mm (just over 3/8").
Step 1
Cut in half the print in order to have two butterflies.
Apply a little bit of paper glue on the back of one picture.
Step 2
Attach with a tape one butterfly to your window. Be sure to check that the back of the butterfly faces you.
Now glue the butterfly you had already glued, back to back to the butterfly on the window.
The paper attached to the window is transparent so you can check that the borders of the two butterflies fit perfectly.
Step 3
Let it dry for a couple of minutes and the cut it out.
You can use scissors or an Xacto knife. Manicure scissors with curved edges work great for this also.
Step 4
Now pass the borders of the butterfly with the point of your pencil.
In this way you don't see anymore the white border between front and back.
Step 5
Cut two pieces of black wire, one of 5mm (3/16") and the other of 6mm (just under ¼"). These are the legs of your butterfly.
