Leave plain, paint or cover base with foil or cellophane for gift-giving.

Another idea is to turn it upside down and place a coffee stirrer on the spike to make a pendant light fixture. Add a clear bead inside for the bulb and secure to the ceiling with a fancy button or bead for the medallion.

Or, how about turning it into a birdbath for a smaller scale? Or add a handle for a cute basket or even use it upside down for a doll skirt. There are tons of possibilities. So go ahead... Enjoy your cake and make a new mini, too!
