Apply glue onto the little space where no fabric is.

Glue it onto one of the little square pieces.

Step 13

Now take the wooden stick, measure 1¼" (3,5cm) and cut it if you haven't done so already.

Apply glue onto half of the stick. Take the string and wind it around the glued area. When you have reached the end of the glued area, glue the second end of the stick, and continue. Be slow and careful, so that no wood is showing through when you have finished.

Step 14

Take the completely covered wooden stick and glue it on the top of the barrel, right in the middle, as shown in the image.

Then take the second covered square piece and glue it on top of the stick, as shown.

Tada!!! Done!!!

Your own little cat scratching post.

You can embellish it with a little ball or a cat nip pillow if you like. Whatever idea you can come up with.
